our Heritage with a Wagon and Mules”
(Alabama’s
state geologist trekked across the state with mules and wagons to provide
the state’s first geological survey which resulted in maps so accurate that
they are regarded as law a century later.)

(Author & freelance writer, Ruth Cook tells the little known
story of the deportation of women and children from a small Georgia town
because they were making cloth for Confederate soldiers. Cook has
